Hurricane Roundup: Assessing Sandy's Impact on Meetings

Hurricane Sandy brought much of the eastern seaboard to a standstill when it made landfall on Monday, causing the cancellation of some10,000 flights and many meetings and conventions from Boston to Washington, D.C./Virginia and points south. The massive storm, which stretched across 800 miles and 11 states, was expected to have animpact on 50 to 60 million people, according to reports.

Hurricane Sandy Rains on East Coast, Meetings and Events

The monster storm known as Hurricane Sandy — potentially the largest storm to ever hit the United States, according to media reports — already is causing power outages, flooding and evacuations up and down the East Coast.
